SummaryFolks: I understand this phone was used for field trial only. Does anyone know how many were used in field trial and how they were disposed after field trial? Thanks, Mr. Ling Lee |

SummaryYou said you would have to do more research. I had one of these boards a "friend" hauled to the dump when I was away at college back in the 60's. The board had a top section with keys for "Fire Alarm" and "Common talking and listening" It was totally DC, and the standard WE phones used DC ringers, and the phones connected with three-wires. Supervision was by line lamps. There was a very nice one of these boards for sale on eBay not too long ago, but I think it didn't sell. The one I had came from my High School and it was installed originally in 1917. There is quite a discussion about one of these boards in the Graybar catalogue around 1917. One thing nice about this board is when growth occurs, all you have to do is add another section to the top. Mine had 5 for total of 100 lines. Hope this helps.. Bruce |
